How to arrive to The Union Hotel 

Located in the waterfront city of Benicia, the Union Hotel offers luxurious accommodations overlooking the Carquinez Strait. The hotel is at 401 First Street, with easy access from I-780 (between I-80 and I-680) via the "Central Benicia / East Second Street" exit.

From Concord/Walnut Creek/San Jose
  • Take I-680 North to Sacramento.
  • Cross the Benicia/Martinez Bridge.
  • Stay to the far left as you approach the tollbooth ($3.00). Take I-780 to Benicia/Vallejo.
  • Take the Second Street/Central Benicia exit off I-780.
  • At the stop sign take a sharp left and go under the overpass on East Second Street.
  • Follow to the four-way stoplight and turn right on Military.
  • Take the very next left (about half a block) on First Street.
From San Francisco
  • Take I-80 going toward Sacramento.
  • After crossing the Carquinez Bridge ($3.00) near Vallejo, take the I-780 exit to Benicia.
  • From I-780 take the East Second/Central Benicia exit.
  • At the stop light take a left onto East Second Street.
  • Follow to the next four-way light, turn right on Military.
  • Take the very next left (about half a block) on First Street.
From San Francisco International Airport
  • Take 80 East towards Sacramento.
  • Take I-780 West Benicia Exit.
  • Merge on I-780 West.
  • Take the E. Second Street exit towards Central Benicia.
  • Make a sharp left turn on East 2nd Street.
  • Turn right on Military East St.
  • Turn left on 1st Street.
  • Drive down to the intersection of First and D Streets.
From Oakland International Airport, Oakland, CA
  • Start on John Glenn Dr going toward Alan Shepard Way–0.5 mi
  • Turn left on Airport Drive–0.9 mi
  • Turn right on Doolittle Dr (CA-61)–0.1 mi
  • Turn left on Airport Access Road–0.3 mi
  • Bear right on Hegenburger Road–0.8 mi
  • Turn right to take the I-880 North ramp towards Oakland–6.4 mi
  • Bear right on I-980 E–1.5mi
  • Continue on CA-24 E–13.4 mi
  • Take the Concord/I-680/Sacramento Exit L exit on to I-680 (Portions toll)–12.9 mi
  • Take the E. Second Street exit towards Central Benicia.
  • Make a sharp left turn on East 2nd Street.
  • Turn right on Military East St.
  • Turn left on 1st Street.
  • Drive down to the intersection of First and D Streets.
From Sacramento
  • Take I-80 going west toward San Francisco.
  • After traveling through Fairfield, take the I-680 exit to Benicia/San Jose.
  • Before the Benicia/Martinez Bridge, take I-780 to Benicia/Vallejo.
  • From 780 take the East Second/Central Benicia exit.
  • At the stop sign take a sharp left onto East Second Street going under the overpass.
  • Follow to the four way stop light, and turn right on Military.
  • Take the very next left (about half a block) on First Street.
